Wednesday, 9 October 2013: Dan Murphy’s will be the first retailer in Australia to launch an App that can recognise the label of a product without the need to scan a barcode or QR code.
Martin Smith, General Manager of Dan Murphy’s, said: “Our App has been designed to make our customers lives easier by providing a practical solution that will save them time by shopping more efficiently and accessing information quickly.
As far back as 1878, the Murphy name had been synonymous with liquor retailing in Victoria. Now it is a name known for revolutionising the way liquor is sold in Australia.
